Membership Having formed a very successful Community Based Orchestra which now has in excess of 30 members. The following Photographs show some of our diversities. This photograph was taken at a recent Charity Event organised by the Redcar Rotarians at Redcar Working Men’s Club on the 21^st March 2007. The full Middlesbrough Jazz & Blues Orchestra of 24 members performed. On this night we raised just under £700 for good charitable causes.

The Orchestra has diversified, since it was founded To include….a Semi Pro Saxophone Quartet. This photograph was taken at the Tall Trees, Yarm. New Years Eve, 2006. This talented group were so well received that they are re-booked for New Years Eve 2007. We also have a Semi Pro Jazz Quintet, which regularly performs at The Purple Onion and The Thistle Hotel, in Middlesbrough town centre. This group of very talented musicians have been booked to perform at The Thistle Hotel, Middlesbrough on New Years Eve, 2007 We now boast a Semi Pro Dixieland Octet……. This next photo was taken at “Locomotion “ The New £11.9 million National Railway Museum. at Shildon, Co.Durham, as part of the Christmas festivities 2007. To entertain guests on the “Santa Express”. Our latest Council bandstand concert was at The New Bandstand, Ropner Park, Stockton on Sunday the 7th September 2008. Featuring our fantastic vocalist, Harmony Gibson. Our Rehearsal Venue is… The Sacred Heart Hall, 383 Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough, TS5 6AE To cover our hire costs there is a nominal fee of £2 for each rehearsal you attend.
