The Middlesbrough Jazz and Blues Orchestra has quickly acquired a reputation as one of Teesside’s outstanding big bands, in demand for everything from bandstand concerts to weddings to charity events.

Founded in 2005 by leading jazz trombonist Andrew Kerensky, MJBO is a community based band for musicians living in the Tees Valley area, and plays a range of music in the tradition of the great swing bands - from Jazz, Jive, Gospel and Soul to Latin, Funk, Be-bop and Blues.

The band also turns it's hand to anything else in between, from Lennon and McCartney to Kraftwerk!
